Overall Thoughts:

I think Lupin tries to be cooler than it is, but that's okay because the main character, Assane Diop, seems cooler than he actually is. When he is using the tricks told in Lupin stories to exact revenge against those who have no regard for others, he is cool and confident. But the rest of his life is messy at times. As the two lives get in the way of each other, Diop can't figure out why he can't get everything to sync up. But we're rooting for him, because we know that next time will be different! It will be!

What Makes This Show Special:

It's great to see that the stories of a character created more than 100 years ago hold up as the basis for a modern day action series. They will draw people back to reading the original Lupin stories, and I'm sure viewers will appreciate this series more if they recognize the Lupin references throughout.

Beware Of:

Don't expect Diop to complete all of his escapades in a neat and tidy manner. Sometimes things don't go as planned, even for someone as talented as he is.

For Dawg Eyes Only:

See some lesser known French canine actors!
